STM32 Control Board: STM32small

Development board designed for multiple control applications, but with a primary focus in supporting the development of a Hardware In the Loop (HIL) Flight Simulator (See also).

Based on an STM32 (ARM) Core, in a small 2.4" x 2.4" form factor.

STM32small Controller Mk1

The board supports a wide variety of functionality (all available simultaniously)

  • 4 PWM Channels
  • 6+ ADC Channels (dependent on other peripheral/gpio requirements)
  • 1x I2C
  • 2x UARTS [with on-board USB-to-TTL on one channel for easy use]
  • 1x CAN Bus with transciever on-board
  • MicroSD
  • Wireless Communications (1 Mile line-of-sight range)
  • LCD Support capability with backlight trim
  • Simple to use Boot Loader
  • Reverse Polarity Protection
  • JTAG support
  • 5V and 3.3V available via onboard regulators

Two further UARTS are available if less PWM channels are required, or if LCD support (8 bit mode), is not used or an alternative method (4 bit) for example is used to free up the I/O.

Below you can see what the board looks like when fitted with an Xbee radio for Wireless Comms.
